About Plantude

The quiet hum of conversation mingles with soft lighting, creating an inviting aura that complements the delicate balance of flavors found throughout the space. Dishes from the Plantude menu tend to prioritize texture and freshness, crafting a dining experience that feels both thoughtful and innovative. While the selection leans heavily into vibrant, plant-based components, there is a noticeable depth of seasoning that prevents any sense of blandness. Ambiance and plating are carefully curated, with details seemingly inspired by natural elements, reflecting the restaurant’s broader commitment to vegan cuisine without being overtly thematic.

Delving into available photos online captures a hint of the meticulous effort behind each creation—bright greens, earth tones, and eye-catching contrasts raise expectations before the first bite. Customer feedback scattered across various review platforms highlights a consistent appreciation for the creativity in salads and the well-constructed entrees which occasionally surprise with unexpected ingredients. However, the occasional critique points to limited portion sizes, a detail that might temper enthusiasm for those with larger appetites. Service at this venue is efficient, friendly without being intrusive, enhancing the overall rhythm of the evening but leaving room for slight refinement during peak hours.

Explorers of vegan dining attempting to navigate Plantude’s reputation will find that the restaurant blends a sense of place and innovation, even though the exact setting in Seoul’s Gangnam District provides no overwhelming distractions. The offerings feel deliberately paced, allowing one to savor both the inventive combinations and the subtleties of a well-executed vegan meal. While not every item on the Plantude restaurant roster will redefine expectations, the balance of taste, atmosphere, and attentiveness results in an experience that, for many, meets the nuanced demands of contemporary plant-based dining with more than a modest degree of success.

I had here the most delicious vegan food of my stay in Seoul! It was very hard find as it doesn’t come up in the mall info screen. Thanks to another user I read that it’s next door to Godiva, not far from the famous library.

Looks like the only vegan spot in the whole mall. Super clean and they have an English menu, which is great. The food was good, but not amazing. I didn’t really like the sweet bread paired with savory/spicy dishes — it made my tofu shakshuka hard to enjoy. Kombucha was too sweet like a soda.

This place is in B1 of COEX Starfield mall. It has lots of western dishes and it was exciting to try them as they aren't available everywhere. It is pricy however, as it is in a mall; it is tasty and worth visiting!

Vegan restaurant hidden inside the shopping mall! It took us a little while to find it, but it was worth it. The food was genuinely delicious and reasonably priced. I had the Japanese ramen, and it tasted just as good as the original I had in Tokyo. There were lots of other great options on the menu. Diverse and something for everyone. They also have vegan ice cream and tiramisu made with tofu. Also a plus: Nice place to sit and very friendly staff!

[Aug 2025]: I’ve now been to this eatery 3x over 18 months and I’ve loved it every time. The menu has changed a bit since my first visit, but every noodle dish has been delicious and well-spiced! Finally got the gyozas too. [Jan 2024]: I’m visiting Seoul for the first time and living in the Gangnam-gu area so Plantude was nearby. Please note that it’s in a gigantic mall (COEX) that was difficult for me to navigate (as an English speaker), but I asked for help from the mall information desk attendants to find the restaurant (it’s next to Godiva). I ordered the truffle sea trumpet cream tteokbokki and I was hoping for the gyoza dumplings, but they were out of stock when I dined for lunch in the late afternoon. I didn’t love the tteokbokki because of the lack of spice, but loved the ramen on my second visit. Service was fast (you order on a tablet) and courteous. There’s no to-go containers, just FYI. If you’re largely a vegetarian/vegan and have dietary restrictions, this is a great place that offers traditional Korean dishes with a plant-based twist. Note that the COEX Mall has plenty of dining options, from Indian to Middle Eastern to Italian to chicken and burger joints so you can definitely walk around and explore to find a place that will please everyone in your group.

I think this place has a Korean mall good quality which is let necessarily a bad thing. The quality is decent but the flavors won’t blow you away. I had the eggplant curry and I was expecting a south East Asian curry sauce but it was the typical Korean / Japanese curry you can find anywhere and the rice was just boring Korean rice. So the dish was t anything special. We also had the bracken oil pasta which was more interesting and had some tasty herbs. I think some vegan Parmesan would really take this dish to the next level. My dad liked his mushroom soup too but the bread was that crappy sweet Korean bread. The service was very nice but Honestly, I wouldn’t come back here. It’s fine if you want a safe vegan mall food meal but it won’t knock your socks off.

The food was incredibly delicious and full of flavour! There was about a 30 minute wait for a table during the lunch rush however the food made it so worth it, and they are very efficient with their ordering process. The service is great and the ambience of the restaurant itself is awesome.

Noodles were good, would recommend not biting into a chilli if you can't handle spice. Comes with mandu which were great. Bit hard to find, it's located on b1 floor where the bottom level of the library is on, there are two escalators in the library area, stay on the bottom floor and head to the left hand side and head north, keep walking forward and you will see the restaurant on the left.
